Born in Kenya, raised in Uganda, and educated in the USA, with a wealth of travel in between, Julian is a classically trained actor, singer, and mover based in Harlem, NYC.
His life experiences in the various places where he has lived profoundly shaped his worldview and his understanding of the vital role storytellers play in our global community.
Along with inciting discourse and eliciting empathy for one another, he views each role he takes on as an opportunity to represent people from across the African diaspora with specificity, authenticity, and care.
A performer since birth, his parents often share a story of how, at just 2 years old, during a performance of the gospel boy band founded by his father to fundraise his NGO, Julian stood up from his seat in the audience and walked to center stage.

Having watched them countless times, he confidently danced through the rest of the set and secured his place as a permanent member for years to come.

In his free time he loves to sing, cook, travel, play FIFA, and go thrift shopping. A few of his favorite things include butterflies, french fries, earth tones, art museums, afrobeats, thunderstorms, and soccer.
